A man walked into the Rockland Trust branch at 1920 Centre St. in West Roxbury, yelled "give me all your money!" but then fled without any money, around 1:35 p.m.
He was described as a white guy with a "large, fluffy gray mustache," about 5'3" and maybe in his 60s. He wore a thick black jacket and sunglasses.
The Energy Credit Union, 156 Spring St. in West Roxbury, was robbed of nearly $200,000 in a holdup shortly before 1 p.m. yesterday that investigators soon realized was staged by a teller and his brother, posing as a robber, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Read more.

The FBI yesterday arrested a Roslindale man they say paid for an expensive shopping trip to the Walgreens on Centre Street in West Roxbury earlier this month by first robbing the Rockland Trust branch down the street - a week after he tried and failed to rob a Bank of America branch in Allston. The Citizens Bank branch in the Hancock Village mall on VFW Parkway at Independence Drive was robbed around 11:20 a.m., by a man dressed in all black and wearing a black ski mask, about 5'8", who passed a demand note, got some money, then ran across VFW Parkway towards Manthorne Road.
Officers investigating the bank robbery wound up arresting another man they happened to find in the parking lot who was wanted on a warrant unrelated to the robbery.
Boston Police report officers responding to a robbery at the Bank of America branch at 6 Tremont St. yesterday afternoon found the doors locked. So they waited until Gary Trecartin, 55, walked out and promptly arrested him for the robbery. Read more.
A man first charged with robbing banks in the 1980s was ordered held in lieu of $50,000 bail today on charges he robbed three banks in the Back Bay over the past couple of weeks, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Read more.

Boston Police responded around 2:30 p.m. to the Santander Bank branch at 279 Massachusetts Avenue, after a man tried holding the place up.
He was described as white, about 6'2" and skinny and wearing a blue surgical mask, a camo Sox cap and a black Celtics T-shirt and carrying a white plastic bag.
