Interim Boston school superintendent won't seek to become permanent one

How everyone in like an educated city like Boston pretends that there is some sort of process and independent school committee to pick the Superintendent when everyone really knows that who ever is Mayor of Boston is King and decides everything, including who the Superintendent is? Then when something goes wrong in the schools, when their is racism at BLS, or parents are upset about something the Mayor claims to not know about it, or that 'he will get to the bottom of it', or some such nonsense??? And people believe this stuff when it is printed in the papers by reporters and editors without question. Are thier really that many suckers in this city?

It's like when some family member gets a job as the head of a copulation, or managing editor of some big whumpa whumpa media group, and everyone has to fawn all over them and tell them how great and amazing they are, when everyone knows exactly what measurements they had to measure up for the job.
