The Outraged Liberal considers the national ADL's firing of the New England regional ADL's director for daring to suggest the death of 1.5 million Armenians was genocide:

... There's a certain irony that this is transpiring as the name of one of Tarsy's predecessors hits the news again in a different context.

The span over the Charles River was named after Leonard Zakim to honor his unyielding belief in social justice, trying to right wrongs and ensure they do not re-occur.

There's little question in my mind what Lenny would have done in this situation: told [national ADL directory Abe] Foxman it's time to go.

Jewish Russian Telegraph wanted Tarsy fired for not opposing the removal of Jewish settlements from Gaza, but says he did the right thing on the Armenian genocide issue.

I've already fired off a letter to Foxman. It is shameful, especially in light of the fact that it just makes the ADL look bad and at a time when young Jews are leaving the religion in alarming numbers by each generation, the ADL shouldn't give anyone anything further by which to turn off younger generations of Jews.
