Paul Friedmann of Roslindale found a pair of salamanders yesterday under a planter he was moving.

Those are I believe Eastern red-backed salamander (Plethodon cinereus). I find them under every pile of leaves in Milton.

I thought that was a plate of heirloom carrots..
