Illusion. They are the same exact dimensions as the old cars. The camera view reduces the new set's visibility to strictly the cab end and roof while the 3 adjacent old sets all show portions of their sides...making them appear "fatter" in comparison. Also, the new set is parked one-third car length further back than where all 3 of the old sets are lined up, so it's slightly more distant to the observer.
