Say it ain't SoSo

John Keith discusses Yet Another Condo Project near the Broadway T stop and adds:

... Locals have begun referring to the neighborhood as "SoSo", because it is in South Boston but very near the South End. ...

Would it be terribly impolite to suggest punching anybody who actually says they live in SoSo?
