Bit of a tight turn in Charlestown.
A fed-up citizen files a 311 complaint about the intersection of High and Walker streets in Charlestown - and the big-rig drivers who get stuck there on the regular:
Several times a year, semi trailers get lost and end up driving down High Street and getting stuck at this intersection. It takes at least an hour to get the trucks out, which blocks the narrow streets. Additionally, these instances usually damage the street, signs, and threaten damage to local vehicles. A sign to indicate a vehicle length limit further up the street on High Street is desperately needed.

High Street looks like a nice wide street at the beginning. Every block, it gets narrower and narrower, and finally ends up at this T intersection.
It's usually tourist buses that get stuck there...

Yup, there is literally no city in the USA where these things are more inappropriate than the cow paths of Boston.
It's insane that the companies are legally allowed to employee a one-size-fits-all approach to their distribution, using the same vehicles to deliver to a shop in Boston or a Walmart in Montana.

Seriously, what does it take - there are FOUR different better ways through this area. Make trucks use them!
Rutherford
Bunker Hill
Medford
Main
Why are trucks even allowed here?
