Driving in West Roxbury
By newchristine on Mon, 09/10/2007 - 12:26pm
We West Roxburyans need to be more considerate drivers, especially in the 'hood. Too many of us are in too much of a hurry, and we go through stop signs, cut corners, don't give signals, take rights on red when the no-no sign is there (like in front of the Library/CVS @ Bellevue St.)etc., etc. Please, let's be considerate of one another.
It will make your day!!!!

The absolute worst
Is trying to make a left turn onto the VFW Parkway from any of the "side" streets (like Baker and LaGrange). Heaven help the poor person who gets stuck there when the light turns red (like, oh, my wife, who actually got clipped by some woman in a hurry to get back to Westwood).
In total agreement
Yeah. It's unreal how inconsiderate drivers can be, disregarding cross walks on Centre St, flying into and out of the CVS parking lot no matter who is walking on the sidewalk (older people, moms with strollers, dogs, etc.). It is really unbelievable. Just let people go! It takes 20 extra seconds out of your whole day.
CVS parking lot~Beam me up, Scotty!
Ever since they took away the 2nd entrance/exit on Richwood Street, things have gotten worse. It's just nuts having only one way in and out of the CVS lot....
