Boston firefighters responded to 1932 Hyde Park Ave. in Readville shortly before 3:30 p.m. for a house fire that started on the second floor porch and extended to the third-floor porch and the roof. The fire, in the last house before the road dead ends, was declared knocked down around 3:45 p.m.
The Boston Fire Department reports eight people were displaced and estimated damage at $250,000.
There were no injuries.
