Susie reports that if you've been out of college for more than a couple years, Joshua Tree on Comm. Ave. is a great place to go to feel really old:
... After having awkward convos with several groups of guys, I looked at my friends and said, "You know you're in trouble, when every single person you talk to asks you where you go to school." And they did. When we replied "We're not in school," they looked at us like we were delinquents or something...maybe we decided not to go to college? Or maybe we were still in high school? No, we must have misunderstood the question. "Sooo, do you, like, go to BU?" ...

Susie, Fear not - if you're
Susie, Fear not - if you're using slang such as 'convos' you're not old yet!
Susie, Fear not
An advertising-industry magazine aptly called AdWeek interviewed executives in marketing and asked them to specify some alarming trends. A couple picked such obvious subjects as the difficulty in finding qualified people or dealing with different ethnic groups. But one forlorn exec said that for him, the most disturbing trend was the sudden explosion in the number of people younger than he is!
Is this place related to Joshua Tree in Davis Square?
Yes - although I'm not sure
Yes - although I'm not sure the exact nature of the relation. Until recently, the Brighton location was called "Tonic," which is still listed on the Joshua Tree web site as a sister bar, "opening October 2002."
(I guess they don't update their web site much, huh?)
A bit grammatically challenged, too
"Soon to be one of Boston's Newest & Best Restaurant and Bar."
Yes! My friends and I found
Yes! My friends and I found numerous errors on their other website too: www.joshuatreeallston.com. Such as, "whether YOUR in the mood for great food" and "Showing all of New Englands best sports teams" (no apostrophe), among several others. There's nothing I hate more than a bad copyediting job on a professional website!
