15-year-old was hanging out on Blue Hill Avenue with a loaded gun, police say

Boston Police report arresting a 15-year-old they say was packing "a Taurus Spectrum 380 with six rounds in the magazine" Sunday evening.

Police say officers on patrol stopped to talk to some guys hanging out at Blue Hill Avenue and Johnston Road around 7:40 p.m. when one of them "attempted to flee:"

Officers stopped the suspect, conducted a pat frisk and recovered a firearm from him.

The teen, too young to have his name released, was charged with being delinquent for illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition, police say.
