we've been yanking out morning glories that choked it, and breaking off dead branches for several years but this is the first year in at least six that we've gotten flowers. And the leaves are super lush!

Our typically blue ones are shades of light blue to lilac, and our fuschia ones are showing some gorgeous purples too this year . Just beautiful.

Our Roslindale hydrangeas have never looked better. We’ve barely had any flowers for years and now they are bursting at the seams! Maybe due to the warm winter?

All that rain we got last year has an impact on hydrangeas, too. https://www.capecodtimes.com/story/news/environment/2024/06/25/gardeners...

The name of the flower itself means "water vessel" - but that's more the shape of the flowers.
