Jason dodges tons of Yellow Books:
When I came home on Friday, I discovered that my street had been attacked by Yellow Book. ...
With photos showing just how bad it is.

I have to agree with Jason. My 8 unit building was attacked by 10 Yellow Books a few months ago. They were in the foyer for at least an entire month, and during that period only one was taken (to start a fireplace fire perhaps?). It’s actually quite worrisome, and I don’t even consider myself an environmentalist.
It’s also a bit ironic how Yellow Book’s website lets a user search the entire database with very little advertising.
The necessity of phone books

Maybe this shows how influential old people really are. I don't know anybody under 30 who uses a phone book anymore, but the old-timers who don't care to learn about computers probably still rely on phone books.
How many do they need?

I agree that some still use them, but they usually only need one per geographic area of interest.
Speaking of their website...

the slogan on this page seems oddly appropriate for the occasion.

such calm, peaceful post-infestation pictures. Like a shot from Hitchcock, or "Invasion of the Body Snatchers." And who ever sees them arrive? You open the door, you come home from work, and they're there, silent, waiting for you.
