Salamanders spotted in Newton

Great vernal pools! JS posts a photo of a spotted salamander tonight in Hammond Woods near the Chestnut Hill Mall.

The link in the comment on that page has some kind of a nasty pop-up at the other end - avoid at all costs.

I found a bunch of salamanders in Dorchester. Very odd, I would say to find them at all in a urban area
