Speaking of lilacs, this Sunday, May 11, is the 100th anniversary of Lilac Sunday at the Arnold Arboretum. Come enjoy dozens of varieties of lilac, performers including nearly 30 Morris Dance teams from all over New England, and the one day of the year that the Arboretum sanctions picnicking! Not to mention that the forecast for Sunday looks nice (unlike the rest of the next 5 days or so...)
...the weather caused our lilac tree to have virtually no blossoms. I was quite sad. This year, things are back to normal for our lilac tree (and our baby lilac tree has little baby lilac flowers -- but not much in the way of lilac scent).

Lilacs!
Wouldn't it be funny if I "borrowed" Mike's lilacs?

AAAAACHOO!
Now where'd I put that Claritin ... my eyes swelled shut just looking at that picture.
Before they bleared out, the view was quite lovely though. Lush, very lush.
Last year....
