In yet another case you probably haven't read about because no loathsome Brits were involved, Quincy Butler and William Wood were on trial this week for allegedly going on a drug-addled robbery spree in 2004 that left Betsy Trip of Dorchester dead of a slashed throat and her roommate without an eye after they shot him in the face.
The Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports a mistrial was just declared because the judge in the case, Patrick Brady, fell ill.
Their first trial, also before Brady, ended in a hung jury. The DA's office says it will move to retry the pair as soon as possible.
