Yep, it's a new day on Hendry Street

Remember when the mayor himself brought an army of city inspector types down to Hendry Street to clean the place up and bring it back to respectability?

Boston Police report on a melee around 12:30 a.m., Saturday, that ended with the arrests of seven people who allegedly attacked officers attempting to pat frisk one of them for a weapon after they were spotted in a yard they didn't own:

As officers were in the process of frisking suspect #1 (BILLIE SINGLETARY), a second individual, herein referred to as suspect #2 (SALVATORE GRAY), began screaming obscenities at the officers. Specifically, suspect #2 yelled, "F*#k you .. we don't want you down here." While suspect #2 was verbally berating the officers, several more individuals began to move towards the scene.

At this point, officers called for additional units and instructed the crowd to disperse. While dispersing, the suspects continued to verbally berate the officers. Suspect #2 stated, "Get the f*#k off our street." At the same time, a third individual, suspect #3 (KOREY GRAY), ran towards the officers with his fists clenched. Suspect #3 demanded that officers, "Throw one." As officers attempted to take suspect #3 into custody, a physical altercation ensued. As officers were in the process of restraining suspect #3, a fourth individual, suspect #4 (KEITH GRAY) jumped into the altercation. In an effort to free suspect #3, suspect #4 struck and kicked several officers. In addition to the suspect #4, several other individuals, suspect #5 (ISAIAH GRAY), suspect #6 (KRISTIN WILSON) and suspect #7 (JANINE BARROS) either interfered with or assaulted the officers as they attempted to apprehend suspect #3.

Innocent, etc.
