the ball went a row into the stands BEHIND the photography pit. The photogs all ducked appropriately, but the front-rowers did not lift an arm even though (for those who don't know how it works) it would have been fine to do so since it's not "interference" unless you reach into the field of play, which they could not have.
It was a good 4 feet in front of the stands still. You can even see a guy in the stands reach out with his glove and nearly smack a photographer in the head, but still come nowhere close to making any sort of play on it.
Some days, I just can't recognize my pre-2004 self. The guy who knew nothing but bitter failure. Nails on chalkboards. Knees to nutsacks. The guy for whom every baseball season ended with bruised knuckles; hoarse voice; puffy, tear-stained eyes; and cigarettes floating in the last swig of beer.
Let's say you were Joe Castiglione and you and O'Brien were calling a one-sided mid-summer laugher, so to amuse yourselves you were putting together an All Pig Latin team from active players.

The Singapore Sox Fan is puzzled over the way Angels fans let Youk make that in-the-stands catch in the ninth:

That was the photography pit. They weren't fans, they were press.

The fans would have tumbled into the pit trying to get that and would have been ejected for sure.

If that would have been considered interference anyways. It was an auxilliary pit that is not there during regular season play.
Not the same person

There's your starting left fielder right there.
1B - Lyle Overbay
Does Kotsay make the cut? Juan Uribe?
That's Mr. Bay to everyone.

That's Mr. Bay to everyone.
Did he win two games with his bat and one with his base running in the ALDS?
I loved Manny's bat but I love Jason's attitude and his bat and his fielding.
