I actually laughed out loud at "Go down cella and get me some b'daydahs." My motha said that to me a wicked lot as a kid.

My dad does his writing work in the basement (as did I for a number of years)--we always used to say "I'll be down cellar if anyone needs me."

How my mom used to direct one of us to get a few bottles of Pepsi when setting up for dinner: "Go down cella and bring up some tonic for suppa."

This one's cracking me up too, especially tonic for supper. I thought that was just in my immediate family. I hear so many people say they drink milk with supper. We always drank some kind of tonic, usually Coke or Pepsi.
