It's all about the money.
Museums are (art) collections, not dating services. If the MFA wants to become some sort of procurance service, fine. Just don't expect those of us who are looking to stretch ourselves intellectually or artistically to be looking their way. And don't expect those of us who are single to be looking for potential mates to be going to Friday Date Night. Though we may not be as well-heeled as they'd like for us to be, we're more than disinterested - we're repulsed. Of course, in the long run, that really doesn't matter, now, does it.
