Wow. This is the best 1st-round NBA series in memory: Last year's champs absent one of their key players playing an up and coming team of young kids. C's refused to lose last night. In two years, Paul Pierce has gone from the star of a mediocre team to a Hall of Famer with a championship ring. The Bulls continued to show their grit and give their fans (e.g., me) reason to look forward to seasons to come. (Please, please re-sign Gordon.)
Last night's game wasn't the artistic success that Game Two was, but it was as much fun as any of 'em. Great drama, wonderful sports heroics, and MY WIFE and I got to see it all from section 319. Woo-Hoo!
A close win like this always feels good. In overtime was the icing on the cake.
Even more so because they not only had to beat the Bulls who have stepped it up for the playoffs, but the refs with an agenda, too.
Really getting sick of it. It's not tolerated in any other sport, so how about the NBA finally start fining every missed call and every wrong call by a amount that would be a deterrent?
Then again they wouldn't be able to foul out The Celts clutch, game winning three shooter and force a 7 game series...
