Roxbury murder suspect arrested in New York

Boston Police report the arrest of Raphael Lara, 18, on charges he fatally stabbed John Paul Torres, 21, of Mattapan early on May 3 at 349 Dudley St.

Torres died of multiple stab wounds at Boston Medical Center. A companion, also stabbed, survived.

The Boston Police fugitive unit and U.S. marshals arrested Lara in the Bronx today, police say. He will face arraignment in Roxbury District Court on his return to Massachusetts.
