let's get a liberal into the Manager's seat so that he can act just like Deval and make the fiscal matters worse.
I think you can blame the liberal CLF for foisting all the new T projects, which were mitigation for the Big Dig, for all the fiscal problems Smilin' Dan has inherited. At least he can make a decision!
"blame CLF for foisting all the new T projects". I think it was Finneran who took all the debt from those projects and put it on the T instead of with the rest of the big dig debt. You know, for the free tunnel under Boston? And then Finneran and the republican governor at the time (swiftlucci?) signed off an arbitrary 1% of the sales tax for public transit. That was a way too low figure, especially since anyone who isn't over 70 or in state government saw how easy it was to buy things online and pay no sales tax.
Universal Hub writes that the 'Outrage Liberal explains.' But when you read his blog, there is no explanation as to why Grabauskas has to go. It seems the Outraged Liberal's only argument is that Grabauskas must go because he is a republican.
Not much of an argument.
My guess is a quick search would give you a landry list of the reasons covered on the blog.
Still, you're right, he should link back to the most egregious.
First and foremost is Smiling Dan doesn't even use the T system, and has little knowledge about what routes are under utilized, or over serve the public.
He's going to sign off on cutting rail service to the city on the weekend, when there's multiple bus routes, that while may inconvenience some with a block or two walk, would be best to due away with.
I'm just tired of being angry at Dan Grabauskas. I'd love to have someone new in his position just for a change of pace. If they can actually advocate for the riders that would be wonderful, but at the very least there could be a new object of scorn.

Don't blame the CLF for Finnerans folly.
Huh?

Wrong. Grabauskas does use the T.
Wrong. Dan Grabauskas does use the T. I've seen him and spoken with him on the Red Line.
