What will the Sports Hub do
What will the Sports Hub do during all of these games? Maybe they should play some music... music that their fans would like... their fans like fast paced rock music right... maybe the Sports Hub should play rock music while waiting for their fans to come back after the game?
Th new guy on 98.5
...is a huge improvement over Mikey Adams, so this is a win for sports talk radio.
"Every Pitch, Every Hit, Every Run"
I can't count the number of times I've been listening to WRKO, and the Dana Hersey promo came on: "Every pitch, every hit, every run during the Red Sox season will be heard on WRKO", often on the VERY SAME DAY that the game would be broadcast on WEEI! (I wonder if that promo will be heard even after the games revert to AM 850. I suspect there are employees at WRKO who are trying to sabotage the station.)
Tough trade off
When I hear Mike Adams, I think nothing could be worse, but of course this move means Savage will be on RKO, who's clearly worse than just about anything on the radio.
Splitting Sox games between two radio stations NEVER made sense
and I don't understand why that arrangement ever happened. I'm glad it's over.
No more fag jokes?
The Yankees were in town the first time I tuned into a Friday night Sox game on 'RKO. The
juvenile douchebagspre-game commentators were still on at game time, and one of them a) got all grouchy and whiny about the rain delay, and b) in his next breath made a snide remark about Nick Swisher's last name. Those were the very last words I've ever listened to on AM 680. See ya.
