I missed the end of the Pats game last Friday. I "tivo'd-it" (comcast dvr) but because of the weather delay, I missed everything after the Redskns blew the field goal toward the end of the 4th. What happened?

Bruschi did it right, a hard worker with comparatively modest skills, gets on the right team at the right time and makes the absolute most of it.

We're in an era of pro sports where solid journeymen start selling themselves off to the highest bidder. Bruschi could've jumped to other teams for x more dollars, but at what a huge cost!

Instead, the guy will be forever associated with one of the great teams in NFL history. He'll have no regrets and a lifetime of incredible memories. For the overwhelming share of guys who aren't Tom Brady or Randy Moss, it doesn't get any better than this.
