Two unions endorse Coakley

Kennedyseat.com reports and wonders if that's a bad omen for Stephen Lynch, supposedly the union guy in the race.

If Pipefitters’ Association Local 537 and Utility Workers Union of America Local 369 endorsed Lynch in the last Congressional race, 2008, then I would say Lynch is behind the eight ball with these two unions.

Did you hear the following and is it true? (from the same article)

Lynch, a former Ironworker Union President, was barred from speaking at Monday's breakfast due to his lack of support for national health care reform.

These locals made a poor decision. With the field expanded to 1 it is clearly far to early to support anyone. What I really don't understand is why they would choose to back a candidate with 0 legislative experience which includes no history of a Labor voting record. The members of congress who are considering running have already proven themselves as friends of Labor and 1 in particular(Rep Lynch) happens to be a card carrying dues paying member of Local 7 Iron workers. This premature decision was a mistake and appears to be geared towards personal gain.
