They're going through hoops to make a Cambridge parking space a park for a day
On Friday, look for some unusual goings on at the southeast corner of Mass. Ave. and Beech Street near Porter Square, where some folks will convert a vehicle space into a play space. Angie explains on this Facebook page:

Ever fly across the United States? I did. It was largely open space, with tiny ribbons of it reserved for cars. Funny how the people who demand open space never seem to want to live where the open space is.
