Judge slaps Harvard prof in music-download case

Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly has the scoop on federal Judge Nancy Gertner's ruling, issued today, on why Harvard law professor Charles Neeson could not argue "fair use" in his defense of a BU student sued for allegedly costing record companies zillions of dollars (rounded up a bit) in copyright infringement:

... Defense counsel repeatedly missed deadlines, ignored rules, engaged in litigation over conduct that was plainly illegal (namely, the right to tape counsel and the Court without consent), and even went so far as to post the illegal recordings on the web. ...
