This obviously isn't the same sort of situation, but the SUV-versus-bookstore reminds me of something that my dad sees a few times a year. He works in an office in a strip mall in Florida that's near a lot of retirement communities. Once every few months, an elderly person gets in their parked car, puts it in drive instead of reverse, and drives straight into whatever store they parked in front of. Luckily it's never happened to his place, but it's happened on both sides of him.
