I am offended as a man and someone who lives in this country...
I just saw another disgusting HUMMER commercial. A guy is in line at a supermarket and the clerk is scanning his package of tofu (which I don't like, by the way, so this is not a vegetarian rant. I love meat!) and it won't go through. He looks behind him and sees that the man to his left has a pile of meat on the belt. He looks embarassed and then flees the store, runs out and buys a Hummer!
And the AD say, "Restoring the balance of man."

So is it not manly to eat tofu or NOT drive a Hummer?? These commercials, the Hummer in general, insult me in so many ways that I can barely explain them all.
As far as I am concerned there is nothing worse in my lifetime than the "dumbing down of America," and second is the marketing plans that play to that...

I can't stand tofu, but I would rather eat, every day for the rest of my life, a grilled tofu sandwhich topped with chopped tofu and a creamed tofu spread, than ever step foot in an obnoxious, I have a small penis, I don't care about anyone on the planet but me, gas guzzling, street blocking, take up three parking spaces, HUMMER. Unless, of course, I am in a war somewhere, which was the original and ONLY reasonable plan for these vehicles...

Am I alone on this? Am I over-reacting??
