They could bang on their drums all day

Usually, the only strangers who talk to people at Washington and Beech are the out-of-place Mormon missionaries at the housing-project bus stop. But this afternoon, these guys from the National Association for the Prevention of Starvation walked down Washington Street, playing their drums and soliciting donations from some pretty puzzled looking people, who were probably wondering why they weren't trying to raise money in a spot with more foot traffic.
