Chat with the T general manager

T General Manager Dan Grabauskas will be doing a live online "chat" on boston.com starting at 1 p.m. tomorrow (i.e., Thursdy, Oct. 12).
Via Bad Transit, which has a whole series of pointed, yet eminently polite, questions you could pose to Dan, including:
... Do you use your own transit system to and from work and other important appointments? If not, why not? If so, do you excuse yourself often for being late again?
What can "random" searches really accomplish except deflect potential perpetrators to sites that are not being monitored? ...

Dear Mr. Grabauskas, I have been very impressed with all the changes that you have made on the MBTA since you became general manager. I am also impressed with the speed with which these changes have taken place. I am a senior person but active, and I ride the T at least once a week, frequently choosing it over driving my car. I think the Charley card is the best! I can't wait until the buses take them. I think the signs and the announcements are good and getting clearer. I have not experienced lateness more than a few times because of emergencies, and the train personnel have been very good explaining the problems. I don't understand why people are not sending you hosannahs; I guess it is true that language was invented because people had to complain! Please don't get discouraged and leave your post until you have achieved all the goals that you so obviously are working upon so energetically. Great work!!
