Watching the LNG tankers go by

Marilora lives close enough to the harbor to be able to take pictures of the giant LNG tankers from her bedroom window. So she takes great interest in reports on the damage a terrorist attack on one could do, like incinerating everybody within a one-mile radius:

Should I take comfort in the fact that I will probably just be incinerated instantly? ... I know that we need LNG and the terminals have to go somewhere, but to have one in such a populated area is just such a huge risk, especially considering the Homeland Security Department has basically done didly squat to protect our ports from the possibility of terrorist attacks. ...

There is a nice fat green one in port today. You can see them going down Medford Street in Charlestown. They come in 2-3 times a week.

We had a big meeting one day and somebody said his plane was delayed in a rain/fog storm because of "tall ships in the harbor". I just laughed. I knew damn well it was to keep the airliners away from an LNG tanker because there was one in port that morning and it wasn't there the night before.

Do they still close the Tobin when they bring them in later at night?

I really marvel at all the fear mongering about lng. I live in a port city with a plan to build storage facilities. We have some rabid opposition.
I am much more concerned with lawyers controlling the country, and squandering the largest portion of the gross national product. Or arrogant judges subverting our constitution for their controlling desires. Or socialists doing for the rest of the country what they have done for our inner cities. New Orleans is a good example of their successes.
When is the last time you heard of an lng disaster? With the amount shipped in the world it must be a well kept secret. So let us focus on the real dangers to freedom and liberty, and not be distracted by those who would use fear to control us as a way to achieve their power dreams.
