Boston Shines On Beacon Hill Details

This Saturday is Beacon Hill's twice-annual Clean Beacon Hill Day. This spring, it's sponsored by the Beacon Hill Civic Association and the Beacon Hill Business Association, in conjunction with Boston Shines, a citywide effort led by Mayor Menino. Special thanks to Suffolk University and Store 24 on Cambridge Street for their involvement and support.

Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. until 2, neighbors will be all over Beacon Hill sweeping up. You can get equipment at one of four locations:
Myrtle Street Playground
Donahue Building, Suffolk University, on Temple Street
Store 24 on Cambridge Street
Firehouse on Mt. Vernon Street

Also, all cars on the low blocks of north slope streets---Irving (Cambridge to Phillips), Garden (Cambridge to Phillips), Anderson (Cambridge to Phillips), and Phillips (Irving to Anderson)---will need to be moved on Saturday morning to make way for the street sweeper, which is making a special appearance on Beacon Hill. This was especially effective last year.

This is a great opportunity to invite out your neighbors and work with them to clean your block.

If you have an questions, don't hesitate to contact the Beacon Hill Civic Association office. 617-227-1922. [email protected]

If you live in another neighborhood of Boston besides Beacon Hill, there are Boston Shines community efforts happening all over the city on Saturday. Visit the following web site for more information:
