Two-alarm fire on Newbury Street

Boston firefighters rushed to 228 Newbury St. around 6:20 p.m. for what turned into a two-alarm fire.

The Boston Fire Department estimates damage to the four-story brownstone at $900,000 and that the cause of the fire, which started on the first floor, is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
