So did Exxon
This is a company who's been fighting in court for 20 years to get out of cleaning up the Hoosac river they polluted. Not exactly the sort of people I'd trust to put the environment matters first.
Exxon famously has been waging a PR battle claiming they care deeply about climate change, meanwhile their CEO (now the Security of State) used a pseudonym to hide his emails in which he attempts to skirt regulations. The company claims one thing publicly yet they fund bogus research that attempts to justify their actions.
GE's move is a marketing. Not surprising but meaningless nevertheless.
This week in Trumpland
Exxon to Trump: Don't ditch Paris climate change deal
You know how to tell when you are the worst possible kind of human being? When a fucking oil company tells you to be nicer to the environment.
I've mentioned this before
I've mentioned this before but since GE and the environment have been brought up I will tell the tale again. I used to work at the New England EPA office. The files were listed alphabetically by the company responsible for the environmental destruction. Except for GE because they had polluted so much their files required a separate file room.
access to those
Could the public get access to those records?
GE
Fights climate change, yet they need a helicopter pad.
They changed their mind on
They changed their mind on that.
So...
...does this mean GE is accepted into the tightly knit Boston and Uhub community?
