In addition to the Haven, Blossom Bar is still nailing it- their house special eggplant in particular s heavenly.

Neighborhood Kitchen just reopened for takeout and makes some of the best mac & cheese, waffles and fried chicken (the sesame scallion waffle is the bomb). They *just* opened before this mess, and deserve all the love.
Crying Thaiger has been killing it, too... along with Yume Ga Arukara.
Is Crying Thaiger open again?
A couple of weeks ago (right after we got take out) they announced that they were closing for about two weeks. FB doesn't show any updates that I saw. I'm looking forward to my next Crying Thaiger meal!

No, more like "nice change of pace for my week". The point is to try to stay in, and also have time, so I'm cooking dinner and having leftovers or coldcuts for lunch. The takeout is more a special once or twice a week thing now, mainly in conjunction with if I'm going out to do something like the grocery shopping or some essential errand, picking up a takeout treat somewhere as part of the same trip.
That being said, I stick with familiar places that are reliable and are then worth the trouble of unfamiliar delivery drivers, crisis-limited menu, or extra waits for pickup; and worth the risk of interacting (even masked) with extra people. Also, places that I'd like to throw a few bucks to in the hope that they'll still be in business when this is over. Not inclined to experiment right now, thank you.
For me, that's places like Brothers Roast Beef in Quincy, Unchained Pizza (Dorchester location closed a while back, Quincy is still open), A Family Affair in Dorchester, Upham's House of Pizza, Panera at South Bay, DoughBoy. Friday I had a work errand take me over to Brookline, so it was an opportunity to get Anna's for lunch and Glory-be! Kupel's was open!!!
You should check out DJs
You should check out DJs Market, better soups than Panera, better doughnuts than Doughboy, and better subs than anyone. The breakfast sandwiches are fucking incredible too and its a family owned place. Probably the only place you can get pierogis to go (you should call ahead though...)
Stopped by the Brookline Anna
Stopped by the Brookline Anna's recently. They were slammed putting together meals to send to hospitals, with about 15 big bags of them going out the door in just the few minutes I was there. Love that place.

Lone Star
Lone Star Taco Bar in Cambridge (and I believe Allston too), doing their full food menu plus a bunch of drink mixes that come with recipes so you can add the booze and make cocktails at home! We got the El Diablo Margarita mix and they came out great.
