An arbitrator has ruled that Arisia owes the Marriott chain some $125,000 for moving its 2019 convention from two Marriott hotels in support of a strike by workers there, the group's leaders have notified members. Read more.

Unite Here Local 26 holds a vote at the Hynes this afternoon on a possible contract reached with the Marriott chain for workers at seven Boston hotels.

The day after announcing that the president of the group that runs the Arisia science-fiction convention had resigned and been barred from the event over a rape and harassment allegation, several members of the group's executive board have resigned as well. Read more.
