The T reports "moderate" delays due to a train now pushing up daisies at Malden.

There are similar delays on the Blue Line due to a deceased train at Government Center.

The Globe reports the T is letting Dunkin' Donuts return to the space it had on the Green Line platform at Government Center, which means commuters will no longer have to take the escalator all the way up to the plaza to get their pink-and-orange fix.

Gov. Baker at new Government Center T stop

Gov. Baker welcomed the first riders into the new Government Center station today - people in wheelchairs, who can access the T at the station for the first time ever, at a formal opening ceremony.

Replacing the old bunker with an airier, handicap accessible station took two years and cost $88 million.

Now, what's the over/under that they will open the station early, but then close it on select weekends/evenings to actually finish all the work - like they did with Assembly Station on the Orange Line?

The T reports Government Center is still on track to re-open late next month, after two years of renovations.

The T adds the lights are programmable and multi-colored, which could lead to interesting possibilities for concerts and performances on City Hall Plaza.

Nothing posted on the web page yet though The notice about the suspensions has been removed from the Green Line "Service Alerts" page, which IMO will only confuse those who previously heard about them and are looking for confirmation.

MassDOT reports Green Line service will be halted between Park and Haymarket stations for five nights - starting tonight - to allow work on the revamped Government Center station: Read more.

The MBTA is seeking bids from companies that might want to lease 400 square feet of space on the Green Line level of the Government Center stop when it re-opens this spring.

The T also has a 150-square-foot space available on the Blue Line platform. Read more.
