Live Boston reports a Jeep that just happened to be sitting atop a box of fireworks on Michigan Avenue near Columbia Road caught fire around 2:50 a.m. on July 4th. Neighbors rushed over with garden hoses to douse the car before firefighters arrived.
WFXT reports they were shot around 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday outside 41 Michigan Ave. Both were taken away in critical condition, but are expected to survive, the station reports.

UPDATE: Boston Police identified the victim as Joshua Hines, 23, of Mattapan.
Boston Police report a man was fatally shot at 6 Michigan Ave., near the intersection with Old and Columbia roads, shortly after 1 a.m. Police say officers responding to a report of gunfire found the man, who was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
