Live Boston reports a man was shot several times shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at West 7th Street and Joyce Hayes Way in the West Broadway development in South Boston. The victim was taken away in critical condition but is expected to survive.

A suspect was arrested in a car in the area of Savin Hill in Dorchester.
