Blakemore Street last night. Camera made it look more lit up than it really is.
A group of residents living near the Blakemore Street Bridge, which connects Hyde Park Avenue with Brown Avenue and Florence Street over the Northeast Corridor train tracks have won a city grant to try to turn the darkened, rusty span into a more welcoming entrance to the Prospect Hill neighborhood. Boston Police report arresting a 16-year-old yesterday on charges he he fired five shots at the intersection of Hyde Park Avenue and Blakemore Street in Roslindale on Tuesday - possibly while trying to shoot somebody whom he missed completely. Read more.

Live Boston reports somebody fired five shots at the intersection of Hyde Park Avenue and Blakemore Street around 10 a.m. Nobody hit.

A group of men robbed a man around 10:30 p.m., Thursday on the Blakemore Street bridge over the train tracks. He was beaten with a gun, then ordered to take off his clothes - which the group then threw over the side of the bridge.
This robbery was around the same time a clerk at a Washington Street liquor store was also being pistol whipped and robbed.
