Boston Restaurant Talk reports Kowloon owner Bob Wong filed preliminary plans with the Saugus Planning Board for split the property up and sell the pieces - but that fans of its Polynesian and Chinese fare don't have to worry just yet, because any shutdown is still several years off. Read more.

On Boston's Hidden Restaurants(!), Marc describes a recent dinner at the world's largest Chinese restaurant:

... I ordered the flaming ambrosia, which is made as follows: Hollow out a pineapple; put a bunch of chicken fingers inside; fill the pineapple to the top with duck sauce; insert pineapple chunks and maraschino cherries; pour alcohol over the whole thing; set it all on fire. ...

lobsta guyKowloon has a series of delightfully cheesy cable-TV commercials. My favorites are the kid who wants to have his bah mitzvah there, the guy in the lobster suit and Ribs II (Ribs I is just, well, boring). When you click on one, wait a minute or so for it to download; otherwise, watching it will be very painful.
