Boston Police are looking for a late-model, shiny black Chevy with four occupants, at least one of whom apparently fired into another car on Wayland Street shortly after 11 a.m. The car was last spotted heading up Hartford; the gunman apparently failed to actually hit anybody, but did leave at least one bullet behind in the street.

Darius Gibson, 22, was indicted last week on murder charges for allegedly gunning down Terrence Kelley, 18, on Creston Street in May, 2010, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Officials didn't have to search hard for Gibson - he's already behind bars awaiting trial on charges he shot three men in Brockton in September, 2010. He's also awaiting sentencing on federal gun charges to which he pleaded guilty.

Stanley Staco and Brian D'Amico report two men were shot shortly after 10 p.m. at 209 Columbia Rd. They were taken to local hospitals. Police are looking for two suspects.

A former aide at the Harbor Pilot Middle School who was already facing charges of improper sexual activity with a student there now faces charges of indecent assault and battery against a 7-year-old boy at the Martin Luther King School in Grove Hall.

A Suffolk County grand jury indicted LaShawn Hill, 34, for his alleged assault on the young child in March of last year, in addition to allegedly being caught with his pants down with an autistic and non-verbal 14-year-old at the Harbor Pilot school on Dec. 12, 2011.

Boston Police are investigating a shooting around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Howard Avenue and Wayland Street. At first, police had only the word of witnesses - and some ballistic evidence - that somebody was shot. However, not long after, a possible victim showed up at Boston Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the arm.

Boston Police report arresting Melvin Wright, 28, on charges he sent another man to Boston Medical Center with multiple life-threatening stab wounds shortly before midnight last night.

The Boston Fire Department reports a fire erupted around 11:30 p.m. at 333 Columbia Rd.

Six residents were displaced, the department says. None suffered injuries, but one firefighter went to the hospital for observation after slipping, the department says.

A Dorchester man started screaming at two gay women coming out of a market and was attempting to beat them with his cane when police arrived on the scene Wednesday evening, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Henry L. Alexander, 41, was arraigned yesterday on two counts each of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, violation of civil rights, assault with a dangerous weapon, and threats to commit a crime. Judge Michael J. Coyne set bail at $500 and ordered Alexander to Bridgewater State Hospital for evaulation - after which Alexander allegedly vowed to kill someone.

The Boston Fire Department reports a fire called in around 1:45 a.m. at 385 Columbia Rd. quickly went to two alarms and did an estimated $200,000 in damage.

The Globe reports riders of the 28 in Mattapan love the new, larger buses the T has put on the route but that people in Grove Hall are, um, disquieted by the buses. The Globe doesn't cite any specific complaints about the specific new vehicles in Grove Hall, but seems to indicate that City Councilor Chuck Turner wanted the buses pulled off the roads after one month because of the legacy of 30 years of the T treating the neighborhood like dirt.

Galaxy Internet Services, which runs Brookline's townwide WiFi network, charges the wireless system Google used as it took Street View photos collected data on at least one occasion from Brookline wireless users.

In a class-action suit filed in U.S. District Court in Boston last week, Galaxy, which also provides public WiFi in the area around Faneuil Hall and in Grove Hall, wants lots of money ($10,000 for each user whose data was collected) - and a court order barring Google from destroying any of the data it grabbed until after the suit is settled or decided:
