NPR reports Tom and Ray Magliozzi are retiring this fall from the locally produced show that gave them - and their accents - national prominence.

"Car Talk" will continue to air, but only with repeats from 25 years of car-advice call-ins, recorded at WBUR's studios. Hopefully, they'll keep their Dewey, Cheetham and Howe offices in Harvard Square.

Interesting job posting from NPR says it's just set up a "Digital Services team located in Boston's Innovation District" to further bring John Boehner's favorite public radio network into the digital age.

Eeka writes NPR to complain about a piece on "All Things Considered" about bass fishing and gets back a form letter apologizing that her bass-fishing expectations were not met:

Funny, I didn't know I had expectations about bass fishing.

On Saturday, Dan Kennedy posted a serious, thoughtful piece about what he considers a serious mistake by NPR's "On the Media." But every time I read his headline, I get a case of the giggles: Bush's bulge reconsidered.
