Parking in a bike lane? Boring, not worth mentioning anymore. But even a jaded Bostonian like our own roving UHub photographer AlisonO could only watch in amazement today when a guy in a pickup drovee down the protected bike lanes, the ones blocked off to keep people like him away, on Staniford Street so he could get to the parking lot on the corner with Merrimac that much faster.

OK, OK, it's really Justin Porter stepping onto his fog-shrouded balcony and photographing firefighters packing up after an investigation tonight into what seemed at first like a fire at 150 Staniford St., but which turned out to be some guy grilling on his porch in that building.

For the second day in a row, a pedestrian has fallen into a 30-foot-deep hole by the hideous Hurley Building on Staniford Street, the Herald reports.
