The owner of the Huntington Avenue block that includes the old BU Theatre says it will sell the theater building to the group that now runs it for $1 in exchange for city permission to build a 32-story building with 426 residential units atop two adjoining parcels. Read more.

Officials from the Huntington Theatre, the company that now owns its building and the city announced a deal today in which the theater company will stay in what's now called the BU Theatre on Huntington Avenue and the owner will redevelop the space around it. Read more.

Boston University and the Huntington Theatre Company released a joint press release yesterday announcing they were dissolving their 33-year old partnership. As a result, Huntington will have to vacate their facility at 264 Huntington Ave. BU will immediately list that property for sale, along with the two buildings adjacent. Read more.
