I'm writing to invite you to the Ford Hall Forum for a talk titled "The Emerging Fifth Estate - Can the likes of Twitter, YouTube, and other social networks help solve real government problems?"
The talk is this Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Main Function Room, Suffolk University Law School. Admission is Free.
Neighbors for Neighbors (NFN - neighborsforneighbors.org), a soundboard for voices and a springboard for action, connects people who live, work, and serve in your Boston neighborhood. Our objectives include:
-making it easy for neighbors to come together through an online portal so that we may do things together offline
-empowering those who are here so that they may share, and to provide a place for people to listen
-moving people past discussion, through action, produce results
-celebrating our collective power and collaborative spirit.
We Media and Ashoka's Changemakers are searching to find the best new ideas for inspiring a better world through media and technology. They are looking for business and non-profit ideas and will award $50,000 in seed funding to the innovators who can bring the best ideas to life. (Sorry deadline already passed).
