A health inspector ordered the Chipotle at 148 Brookline Ave. shut today after finding cheese, raw steak and chicken, marinated chicken, barbacoa and carnitas in a walk in cooler at temperatures well above the maximum allowable 41 degrees - as well as similar conditions in a "reach-in unit" holding cheese and guacamole at the front of the store.
Huran Delismail, 22, was charged today with smashing into a pole early this morning at the Riverway and Brookline Avenue and sending his three passengers to local ERs - one with injures that were considered life threatening - the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Read more.

The BRA board yesterday approved a revised plan to build a $290-million tower of both condos and apartments at the intersection of Boylston Street and Brookline Avenue, replacing an old D'Angelo sub shop.
Samuels and Associates says its Point project will include a mix of condos and apartments, ranging from studios to three-bedroom units and with two floors of retail space. Some 15 floors of apartments will be topped by 11 floors of condos. The BRA had already approved an earlier version of the plan, which had 30 fewer residential units.
The Boston Licensing Board yesterday gave Wahlburgers permission to spend $325,000 for the liquor license of the old Goody Glover's in the North End for its impending burger joint at 132 Brookline Ave.

Around 7:30 a.m., an electrical panel in the basement of Beth Israel's Feldberg building, 330 Brookline Ave., began to emit smoke. That's rarely a good thing; BFD dispatched firefighters to deal with the resulting small fire, which they did in short order - after shutting off the power.
Proposed expanded Landmark Center from Park Drive.
The BRA holds a hearing next Thursday on plans to add 600 residential units, a supermarket and other retail space and an underground garage to the Landmark Center.
At the hearing, set for 5:30 p.m. in the authority's City Hall offices, developers will propose making room for the new space by tearing down the existing parking garage behind the main building, originally erected as a Sears distribution center.
