A concerned citizen reports on an incident Friday evening on Washington Street in the South End:

Unprofessional conduct by BTD employee: at 7:45pm, female BTD exited BTD van ticketed car on Washington St whose meter just expired (15 min prior to end of enforcement) then did a ridiculous happy dance before getting back into van. As van drove by crowed outdoor restaurant (Toro) she hung out the window and yelled, "Everyone else is free tonight!" Was this some kind of competition? Either way, this behavior should be reprimanded.

And a Brookline developer has purchased a Suffolk University building at Derne and Hancock streets on Beacon Hill with plans to turn it into luxury condos.

After a man was shot on Morton Street Thursday afternoon, his boys went up to Boston Medical Center. And then another crew, considerably less friendly with the victim, showed up as well, around 6 p.m. Police, who typically accompany shooting victims to the hospital for just this sort of reason, interceded and discovered one of the non-friends had a gun. The gunman was arrested and his weapon seized before he could use it.

A South End resident complains about trash pickers constantly ripping up his or her trash bags:

We have had it with the city taking no action against trash pickers. 3 times today I had to go out, pick up, and rebag my trash due to pickers. Does the city want citizens to start taking the matter into our own hands? I'm not above starting to leave raw feces in each of my trash bags to deter them.

Beehive hairdo in Boston Pride parade

Aside from a brief and not very heavy spot of rain, it was a perfect day for the annual Pride parade from Copley Square to City Hall Plaza.

We stationed ourselves on Charles Street. By the time it was all over, the kidlet had built up quite the collection of beads.
